At Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Energy-saving guest room controls
- Water conservation measures in place
- Water-efficient landscaping
- Elimination of single-use plastic water bottles, bathroom amenities, and food and beverage containers
- Recycling program in place for aluminum, glass, plastic, paper and cardboard
- All organic waste is diverted from the landfill and sent to external facilities for biogas, fertilizer and mulch production
- Our cocktail bar Grain uses ecoSPIRITS, an innovative distribution system that nearly eliminates packaging waste in the premium spirits supply chain, reducing glass and cardboard waste in Australian landfills
- Local, sustainable and seasonal menu items available
- Food waste reduction program in place
- The pool area features a custom-designed 60-square-metre (645-square-foot) living greenwall comprising over 1,800 individual plants, including an array of rare plant types and tropical ferns such as Colocasia, Rhipsalis and various Philodendron species
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including small group tours to native animal wildlife parks, and tours to learn about the history of local indigenous peoples and their lands
- Linen, furniture, equipment and excess food donated to the local community through a non-profit organization providing support to marginalized and disenfranchised members of society
- Local artists and artisans featured throughout the Hotel, including Anna-Wili Highfield’s Australian animal artwork in guestrooms, dog beds and toys provided by Outback Tails, and indigenous art prints featured on beds for which artists receive a portion of the proceeds from purchases and the purchase of toys give back to charities to protect precious animal habitats
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the local community through Clean Up Australia, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Humpty Dumpty Foundation
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- Suppliers are encouraged to use sustainable packaging materials and to reduce unnecessary packaging
- The Hotel works with local suppliers to highlight the beautiful talent, people and produce Australia offers, including indigenous food and beverage supplier Something Wild
- The retail boutique in Endota Spa features products made with native Australian ingredients
