Big Muddy Adventure – Mississippi River Canoe Trip

Overview

This 45-minute canoeing adventure will take you through the heart of downtown St. Louis. Push off near the historic Eads Bridge, the oldest bridge on the Mississippi, and begin a short paddle upstream (just like Lewis and Clark), learning about notable historic landmarks and catching unparalleled views of some of the city's oldest riverfront buildings. Then, head downstream, paddling under the Eads Bridge, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Gateway Arch and downtown's skyscrapers. The voyage will end just south of the Arch, with snacks and refreshments on the historic cobblestone levee.

Things To Know

: Guests must be 6 years or older to participate.
Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
: This experience is subject to weather conditions.
Experienced river guides will be available the entire trip to assist and answer questions.
: River shoes or sandals with a strap (no flip-flops), waterproof boots or old sneakers that can get muddy or wet
Layered weather-appropriate clothing
Hat, swimsuit, towel (weather-dependent)
Sunscreen and bug spray (weather-dependent)
Reusable water bottle
Camera
: Post-trip snacks and refreshments
All safety and paddling gear (life jackets, paddles, dry bags, etc.)
Transportation from the Hotel to launch location at Lacledes Landing
: If cancellations are received within seven days of the reservation, the full cost will be charged; if cancellations are received within 8 to 14 days of the reservation, guests will receive a 50% booking voucher for use within one year of the cancelled date; if cancellations are received within 15 to 28 days of the reservation, guests will receive a booking voucher for the full amount for use within one year of the cancelled date.
