A region with seasonality directly linked to the movements of the Great Migration, the Western Corridor is typically where the wildebeest are found from late May to early July, although your expert driver-guide can advise on a more precise location at the time of your visit. When the wildebeest are in the Western Corridor, a full-day game drive can allow you to view the Migration scattered in the woodland against a hilly backdrop. This region is also where the wildebeest rut (mating season) takes place and where the herds must cross the tree-lined Grumeti River, reputedly home to some of the largest crocodiles in Africa.
