- Ken Forrester the Gypsy 2013 | W.O. South Africa - 520,000
- The character is somewhat 'wild', a little brambly with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, dark spices, with vanilla scents and a distinct, concentrated red-fruit focus.
- Clos de L'Oratoire Chateauneuf du Pape 2016 | W.O. France – 565,000
- Frank and spicy with black pepper and licorice, surprising floral notes of grass and acacia, evolving onto more classic notes of strawberry, cherry and fresh blackcurrant, and subtle notes of camphor and menthol. The attack is frank and ample, reflecting the gourmand and delicate characteristics of the estate and magnificently held by fine tannins with a silky length, strengthened by the freshness of the menthol and scents of the garriques.
- Kanonkop Paul Sauer 2011 | W.O. South Africa – 650,000
- Full bodied, deep ruby red colour. A combination of the varietals gives you more than the sum of the parts. Very complex bouquet with black currant, red berry, mocha and spicy flavours. Big structured wine with a refined line of elegance.
- Vergelegen V 2013 | W.O. South Africa – 1,030,000
- A clean and precise bouquet with intense blackberry, wild strawberry, graphite and melted tar aromas that for me, offer much more precision and sophistication compared to the GVB Red this year. The palate is dense and full-bodied with powerful black fruit laced with graphite and a touch of spice.
- Waterford Estate the Jem 2012 | W.O. South Africa – 1,200,000
- Intriguing aromatics of fresh fruit, wild spice, warmth and complexity complimented by the well layered and integrated tannins to offer an elegant yet long lasting finish that is classically dry and rewarding.
