Overview

Sitting at 1,717 metres (5,633 feet) above sea level, the peak of Mount Batur is a relatively gentle hike offering a big reward: panoramic views of Bali's mountainous landscapes, best seen at sunrise. The first rays of the day reveal Mt. Abang, Mt. Agung (the most sacred mountain, home to Bali's mother temple), the island's east coast and as far as Mt. Rinjani in Lombok.
