Overview

Uncover the history of Pueblo and Plains Indians, Spanish and Anglo settlers, and the impact of Union and Confederate soldiers in the Pecos region. Experience a vibrant history tour with visits to Native American kivas, old trade routes and the critical Battle of Glorieta Pass. If time allows, visit one of the nation's largest national cemeteries, where Union and Confederate soldiers rest side by side.

Things To Know

: All levels of experience are welcome.
Guests must be able to walk an easy- to moderate-level hike of at least 2 miles (3.2 kilometres).
: Additional time may be added for a flat fee of USD 100 per hour.
Price per person for additional participants is available upon request.
This experience is a 45-minute narrated drive from the Resort and includes stops at unique historical sites.
: Sturdy footwear with traction, such as hiking shoes or trail runners
