- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations available for guest use
- EVs available for guest transfers and used for all transportation within our Hotel
- Bicycles available for guest use

- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Participate in Lights Out, a program that involves turning off and/or blocking as many external and internal building lights as possible at night, when bird migration is occurring during the spring and fall
- Energy-saving guest room controls
- Building automation systems to efficiently control energy consumption
- 100% recyclable custom branded water cartons throughout the hotel to replace plastic bottles
- Elimination of single-use plastic food and beverage containers
- Food waste awareness training for culinary employees
- Partnership with Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA) to upcycle ice packs
- Implemented new waste measurement system to encourage reduction in food waste in employee dining spaces
- Local, sustainable and seasonal menu items available
- Cage-free eggs
- Food waste reduction program in place
- Oyster shell recycling program in partnership with Delaware Bay Estuary, which collects them and places them back in Delaware Bay, providing habitats for baby oysters and other marine species
- Guests can engage in educational tours at natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community through our Concierge, including exploring points of interest in one of the oldest cities in America on an electric bike, having lunch like a local at Reading Terminal Market, embarking on a private tour for a memorable outing on the Delaware River and immersing themselves in iconic American art at various local museums
- Excess food donated to the local community through Philabundance, a nonprofit member of Feeding America dedicated to eliminating hunger
- Linen, furniture and equipment donated to the local community through a local veterans’ shelter
- Local artists featured throughout our Hotel, including live performances from musicians in SkyHigh
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the local community and support charitable initiatives, including preparing meals for those in need through Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA) and periodic clean-ups in local parks
- The team at The Spa has successfully trained through the nonprofit Wellness for Cancer and can adapt and tailor services for individuals impacted by cancer
- Coordinate post-event donation of flowers through Forget Me Knot, an organization that repurposes flowers and delivers to community health care facilities
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- The retail boutique in The Spa features products from Pennsylvania-based creators
