Indulge in a farm-to-table gourmand gateway with Michelin-distinguished Chef Simone Zanoni, who will whisk you away to discover our vegetable garden outside of Paris. Pick up fruits and vegetables, and prepare and share your homemade lunch in a rustic yet chic atmosphere – an authentic dining experience surrounded by nature.
Enjoy an exclusive farm-to-table gourmand journey, full of joyful and authentic moments sure to win the heart of epicurians.
Your adventure begins at the entrance of our Hotel, where Chef Zanoni personnally drives you to the Domaine de Madame Elisabeth, a vast and lush estate that once belonged to the sister of King Louis XVI. Located 20 kilometres southwest of Paris in Versailles, the Domaine is home to the kitchen garden of Le George, spanning 1,800 square metres of land. Free from chemical interaction, it provides the Michelin-starred restaurant with seasonal fruits and vegetables all year long. Tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, eggplants, zucchini, green beans, pumpkins, raspberries, strawberries, beetroots and herbs are cultivated by Chef with the support of a team of people in professional reintegration programs.
In this bucolic and simple environment, tour the vegetable garden with Chef and handpick fresh greens, learning when to harvest vegetables to make sure they’re at their peak of flavour. Chef will share his values and love for sustainable practices while supporting and encouraging the consumption of locally produced seasonal foods.
Once the necessary ingredients are gathered, indulge in an al fresco cooking class in a wooden open-air kitchen nestled in the heart of the vegetable garden. Discover Chef Simone’s culinary secrets and prepare simple and unpretentious dishes under his guidance before setting the table together and sharing lunch in this rustic yet chic atmosphere.
Intimate Setting À La Dolce Vita
For those who prefer intimate and gentle summer evenings, the experience is also available for a dinner under the stars, with glass lanterns and candles that create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Exclusive wine pairings
Pair your experience with the bottle of your choice with the help of Francesco Cosci, crowned Best Sommelier of Italy in 2023 and Head Sommelier at Le George. Before the departure to Versailles, Francesco will personally guide you to the Hotel’s cellar to recommend wines that will perfectly pair with your meal. And for wine lovers eager to benefit from an outdoor wine-tasting class, Francesco will accompany you to the potager and share his in-depth knowledge and love for wines.
