CITY OF ART

Embark on a discovery of Boston’s art scene, starting with a self-guided tour of our in-house art collection while you sip on a glass of Champagne. Our collaboration with art consultants Kate Chertavian and Lucy Rosenburgh has produced a world-renowned collection throughout the property, permeating every guest room, residence and public space for guests and residents to enjoy. Discover a 20-page brochure available for those who wish to learn more about the collection. As the official hotel partner of the Institute of Contemporary Art, we’ll then arrange for a car to whisk you away to the current exhibition at the ICA, located in the Seaport District of Boston. Cap off the day at Trifecta, our lobby lounge, where you’ll witness true artistry of another kind – a robust cocktail menu designed and inspired by Boston’s artistic and cultural scene.

DISCOVER OYSTER COUNTRY

Located just south of Boston in Duxbury and affectionately known as “The Napa Valley of Oysters,” Island Creek Oysters is a standout farm that raises the bar in sustainable seafood. We invite you to spend a day at Island Creek’s historic 11-acre oyster farm, where you’ll get an interactive lesson in farming. Your private tour starts where the oysters do – in the hatchery. See how the farmers recreate the ideal conditions for oysters to reproduce and learn the stages of growing algae (oyster food). You’ll then head out on the water aboard the Nathaniel Winsor, a 27-foot Carolina Skiff, and enjoy some tales over drinks, oysters and sun. You can also learn the art of shucking from the experts. After your hands-on experience, sidle up to the farm’s bayfront raw bar for chilled wine, oysters and caviar as you take in the coastal views. Our Concierge can arrange private transportation to and from the farm. Return with fresh oysters on ice to enjoy in the comfort of your room with a bottle of Champagne.

BOSTON PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR

Take in a guided “photo walk” around Boston’s most Instagrammable neighbourhoods with a professional photographer and local guide. This two-hour experience will take you through iconic districts including Back Bay, Fenway and the South End, allowing you to hone your photography skills while marveling at top attractions. You and the photographer will make unscripted pit stops to sample his or her favourite local brews and food along the way, and by the end of the experience, you’ll have lived like a local and raised your Instagram game at the same time. The photographer will take care of everything, including providing photography equipment (upon request) and following the tour, will share all of the images you captured on your walk so you can remember your adventure. If there are any bucket list locations that you simply must visit, let our team know. We can design a custom itinerary just for you.
