    New Direct Service from the West Coast

    As of December 2023, the first non-stop flight is available from Los Angeles (LAX) to Nassau with JetBlue and Alaska Airlines. There are also new direct flights from Seattle (SEA) to Nassau with Alaska Airlines. With these convenient direct flight options for West Coast travellers, it’s now faster to travel to Nassau than to Hawaii.

Entering The Bahamas
Nassau Paradise Island is one of a few destinations that provides pre-clearance for U.S. Immigration and Customs services, allowing flights from Nassau to bypass the normal U.S. Customs process on most returns from international destinations and seamlessly clear Customs prior to boarding a flight home or to your next destination. A Global Entry service is also available. The on-site U.S. Immigration and Customs service is both a time saver and great convenience. The Lynden Pindling International Airport was the first airport outside of the United States to implement TSA PreCheck.
U.S. and Canadian Citizens
U.S. citizens need a valid U.S. passport for re-entry into the United States. No visa is required for U.S. or Canadian citizens.
Other Countries
Citizens of countries other than the United States and Canada are required to present a valid passport that must be current up to your travel period; some country’s citizens are also required to have a Bahamas visa. If you are departing The Bahamas for a country that has the passport validity requirement of six months beyond the dates of travel, then that requirement will be enforced. Proof of return or onwards journey travel, and proof of funds to support your visit, may be required. Please review The Government of The Bahamas website for exact details on visa requirements as they pertain to your country.
