Rogelio Garcia

Executive Chef Auro and TRUSS Restaurant + Bar
Rogelio Garcia helms the kitchen of Auro, as well as oversees the talented team of chefs and adds his culinary touch to TRUSS Restaurant + Bar. Auro received a coveted Michelin star under the helm of Garcia and his team in the 2023 Michelin Guide California. Born in Mexico City and raised in Los Angeles and Napa, Garcia held positions in some of wine country’s most respected Michelin-starred restaurants, from Cyrus to The French Laundry. Following his time in wine country, Garcia set forth to San Francisco where he earned Michelin stars of his own in 2018 and 2019 at Spruce. Garcia is a James Beard Foundation finalist for Best Chef: California; an alumnus of Bravo’s “Top Chef” Season 15; and author of an upcoming cookbook, “Convivir: Modern Mexican Cuisine in California’s Wine Country.”

Derek Stevenson

Sommelier
Derek Stevenson seeks to discover the great wines of California, particularly the greater Napa Valley area, with a special focus on the Calistoga region to support the community and celebrate the talented individuals who have invested their life’s work in the dynamic wine industry. Originally from New Holstein, Wisconsin, Stevenson, at 23 years old, became a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers. Stevenson has now switched to the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), where he is currently participating in Diploma-level testing. Under his guidance, Wine Spectator recognized Auro with a Best of Award of Excellence in 2024 for the second consecutive year.
