Born in Montreal, Executive Chef Jason Morris began his career as a poissonnier. After culinary school at the Institut de Tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ), he travelled to New York in to continue his career with chef and restaurateur Paul Liebrandt. Morris is celebrated for his pivotal role in elevating the Canadian culinary scene, bringing an innovative approach to Marcus Restaurant. Known for his dedication to local ingredients and groundbreaking techniques, he has been recognized among Canada’s Top 10 Chefs and Canada’s 100 Best Chefs. Having worked in some of the worlds most demanding and meticulous restaurants has granted him a unique way of cooking and inspiring the next generation of chefs.

World-renowned chef, author and TV personality Marcus Samuelsson is responsible for many successful restaurants worldwide. He was the youngest person ever to receive a three-star review from “The New York Times” and has won multiple James Beard Foundation awards. Here in Montreal, Chef Samuelsson is finding inspiration from local growers and producers, creating menus that reflect his Ethiopian roots, his Swedish childhood and the cultural mosaic of his home in New York City.
