At Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations available for guest use
- Refillable “Pathwater” aluminum water bottle program where each guest receives a bottle upon arrival in their room, and there are multiple filling stations on each floor
- Electric bicycles available for guest use
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items available
- Salt technology used in resort pools – a friendlier alternative for the environment and guest health
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- New Kids for All Seasons (KFAS) sustainability programming includes weekly Chef’s Garden Club meetings, seed planting, seasonal produce harvesting, meeting the Resort’s chefs, and a complimentary treat made with ingredients from the children’s harvests.
- The Resort is participating in a pilot program using Soil Thrive Solutions for our landscaping with zero-added chemicals.
- We provide complimentary reef-friendly (oxybenzone-free and octinoxate-free) sunscreen from Project Reef to all guests.
- Water conserving faucets and toilets
- 1.75 gallons per minute (gpm) low-flow shower heads installed across the property
- Elimination of single-use plates, cutlery and cups
- In-room large-format, refillable bathroom amenities made of 100% recycled plastics
- Recycling program in place
- Soaps and toiletries recycled and donated to those in need
- Composting program for all food outlets
- Local, sustainable and seasonal menu items available
- 100% cage-free eggs
- Responsibly sourced seafood available
- Local biodiversity support program in place, including annual employee tree planting trips to the Island of Kahoolawe
- Partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge to dedicate a one-acre plot, where employees restore the area with native and Polynesian plants to support the endemic Nene populations.
- Guests can give back to Maui by participating in the Mālama Hawaiʻi program. Those who engage in a Shoreline Debris Monitoring or Blue ʻĀina Reef Cleanup will receive a USD 250 resort credit as a thank you.
- Lobby Lounge, DUO Steak and Seafood, and Ferraro’s Bar e Ristorante are all certified as Ocean Friendly Restaurants by the Surfrider Foundation, recognizing their commitment to making sustainable choices for our ocean.
- Linen, furniture and equipment donated to the local community
- Local artists and artisans featured throughout our Resort in our Daily Artist’s Showcase
- The Resort supports StART, a community-based student artist immersion program supporting the Maui young artist community.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- The Spa uses Force of Nature, a cleaning solution with no fragrances, dyes, surfactants, preservatives, quats, bleach or alcohol
