Al Barakat x Mayrig
Discover a meeting of hearts and palates in an exclusive collaboration between the chefs at Al Barakat and Chef Aline Kamakian, founder of Beirut’s acclaimed Mayrig restaurant. Celebrating shared experiences, interwoven cultures and a bond of a friendship that spans continents, our collaboration is inspired by the true essence of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine.
Translating from Armenian to “little mother,” Mayrig draws on Chef Kamakian’s Lebanese and Armenian heritage – along with the techniques passed down to her by her ancestors – to craft traditional dishes bursting with Silk Road spices and fresh, seasonal ingredients.
In the spirit of mutual learning and culinary adventure, Al Barakat’s chefs journey into the heart of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine each summer with Chef Kamakian. After discovering Lebanese and Armenian artisan producers, local delicacies, wineries and craft beers in person, they bring the region’s authentic ingredients, aromas and secrets back to our Resort.
Sample the fruits of their collaboration through Al Barakat’s sensory menu, where every dish is a symphony of flavours and colours, inspired by a rich culinary heritage and steeped in the age-old art of genuine hospitality.
