- Local biodiversity support program in partnership with Thailand’s Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, including the Coral Conservation Project led by our in-house marine biologist, focused on conserving the reef that skirts our Resort through coral rehabilitation and reintroducing coral pieces into the fringe reef; up to 16,000 coral pieces have been reintroduced as part of this project
- Stranded crab care program in cooperation with Ban Tai Crab Bank, where blue crab zoaeas are rehabilitated and released each week to help them find a haven within our Resort’s reef
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community through our Concierge, including taking a day trip to Angthong Marine National Park, visiting elephant sanctuaries and exploring historic temples
- Dynamic wellness promoted through the local combat sport, Muay Thai, with expert guidance provided in our open-air, professional-grade boxing ring
- Local artists and artisans who create carved soap flowers and nang talung (Thai shadow puppet art) are featured throughout the Resort
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the community and support local charities, including temples, schools, the Koh Samui Food Festival and the annual Cancer Care Run organized in cooperation with Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River and Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- The retail boutique in The Spa features artisanal products from Thailand-based creators
