At Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Energy-saving guest room controls and building systems in place, including fully LED lighting, motion sensors in key common areas, efficient air conditioning units and a partnership with EES-Energy Efficient Solutions Bali to reduce the energy consumption of our swimming pools
- Water conservation measures in place, including efficient plumbing fixtures in all guest rooms
- Water-efficient landscaping, including the use of rainwater harvesting to meet many of our irrigation needs
- Beach cleaning robot (Bebot) for daily beach cleaning, after which our gardeners separate waste into categories – plastic, seaweed, cigarettes butts, wooden, bottle and paper – to be recycled, upcycled or distributed to the local community for other uses (i.e., cigarette butts converted into brick)
- On-site Pyrolysis machine to convert plastic waste, including Bebot waste, into diesel fuel and black carbon (used for pencils); said diesel fuel used in trucks to transport Ayung water from Sayan to Jimbaran Bay (90-minute drive)
- Elimination of single-use plastics, including water bottles, straws, food packaging, shower amenities and minibar items
- Off-site water purification and bottling plant at our Resort supplies all drinking water in guest and staff areas
- Recycling program in place, including an innovative partnership with ecoBali to turn Tetra Paks into cabinets and roofs for sustainably designed houses
- Organic waste diversion program in place, including off-site composting through partnership with Jimbaran Lestari and food waste donations to local farmers as animal feed
- Used cooking oil recycled into biodiesel through partnership with Lengis Hijau, a nonprofit social enterprise
- Food waste reduction program in place

- Vegan and vegetarian menus available
- Launch partner in Indonesia for ecoSPIRITS, the world’s first low-carbon, low-waste spirit distribution technology, which eliminates up to 80% of the carbon footprint of supplying spirits to bars
- Zero-waste cocktails and sustainable bartending workshops available at TELU, a dedicated venue made from upcycled materials
- On-site permaculture with herb and vegetable gardens at Jala Cooking Academy and TELU
- Local sourcing of most ingredients, including seafood, fruits, vegetables, dairy products, coffee and tea
- Ocean-to-table experience where guests can fish with local fishermen and cook their fresh catch for lunch at Jala Cooking Academy
- Beehive adoption and on-site honey production in collaboration with Bali Honey beekeepers
- Mangrove forest tree-planting program, where each purchase of a Mangrove Revival Cocktail at Sundara goes towards planting three mangroves in collaboration with a mangrove ranger
- Guests can visit the Role Foundation’s Zero Waste to Ocean community education centre and participate in team-building activities, including composting, recycling, snail farming and tree planting to help fund educational programs for local children and marginalized women
- Employees support the protection of local biodiversity by participating in monthly beach cleanups and annual cleanup events, including Bali’s Biggest Cleanup and International Coastal Cleanup Day
- Extra food is donated to Scholars of Sustenance (SOS), a local nonprofit dedicated to providing nutrition to those in need
- On-site artist outreach program at Ganesha Cultural Centre, through which local artists conduct workshops in traditional painting, woodcarving, weaving and dancing
- Complimentary performances of traditional dance and music by local community groups conducted at the Resort
- Linen, furniture, equipment and medical supplies are donated to those in need through various organizations such as Smile Bali, the Indonesian Pediatric Cancer Foundation and the School for the Deaf
- TELU, our zero-waste cocktail bar, donates a percentage of profits to three local community initiatives: Bali Children Foundation, which provides crucial school resources for young minds; Coral Gardener, which contributes to the restoration of coral reefs for a sustainable future for our oceans; and Sungai Watch, which tackles plastic pollution and protects and restores Bali’s rivers.
