9:00 am
Depart from our Resort to visit Batuan Village, a Balinese traditional compound, where the local people live and spend their daily life. The building of this compound is similar to anywhere in Bali, but here the villagers keep it that way to ensure its authenticity. Continue another five minutes by car to see the Batuan Temple, known for its artistic Balinese architecture and the large Balinese gate in the courtyard.
Next, proceed to Tirta Empul, a water temple whose name translates to “holy water spring.” The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, with the water flowing into the Tukad Pakerisan River.
Continue to Tegalalang, where you can enjoy views of rice terrace fields of the cool Ubud highland and stop for a photo opportunity. Optionally, browse the village and witness how handicrafts are made by the locals.
2:00 pm
Stop for lunch at our sister property, Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan.
3:30 pm
Visit Ubud Town, best known to the outside world for its various artists and galleries. Head to Puri Saren (the Ubud king’s palace) and Ubud Art Market, as well as Monkey Forest, before returning to our Resort.
