Travel by helicopter to enjoy uncrowded, world-class waves at one of surfing’s most legendary breaks.
Meet General Manager Randy Shimabuku and Tropicsurf guide Blake McKinnon in the lobby of Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay and head out for a quick 20-minute drive to the heliport where your adventure begins. McKinnon is an expert on Indonesia’s best surfing breaks and matching them up with surfers’ abilities and desires.
On your 45-minute Air Bali helicopter flight to Grajagan, better known to surfers worldwide as G-Land, you’ll have unforgettable aerial views of Bali and Java, East Java National Park, and the area’s world-class surf breaks and beaches.
Compared to the usual three-hour boat ride and overnight stay in a surf camp, your helicopter charter gives you exclusive day trip access to G-Land’s lefthand break and its ultra-fast, heart-thumping tubes. The remote location means the lineup is uncrowded and your wave count high, compared to Bali’s famous surf spots like Ulus. Here, experienced surfers can catch wave after wave with virtually no competition. And with Blake’s personal guidance, intermediate surfers can take their surfing to the next level at other nearby breaks.
Surfers will benefit from McKinnon’s personal attention, expertise, guidance on tides and camaraderie. Non-surfing participants will equally enjoy the experience and environment as they explore the national park and its wildlife, beaches and jungle.
When you’ve worked up an appetite, satisfy it with a Four Seasons chef–prepared picnic lunch to be savoured in sight of the G-Land breaks. Enjoy a few more hours in this surfer’s paradise before departing by helicopter and returning to the Resort in time for sunset.
This heli-surfing adventure is for advanced and intermediate surfers, and best experienced April through November. It must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
