At Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - Vegan and vegetarian items available, including “Live well” recipes featuring balanced and nutritious curated dishes
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Energy conservation measures in place, including energy-saving guest room controls
- Two electric vehicle chargers are provided for our valet parking guests to support the reduction of carbon emissions
- Elimination of single-use plastic food and beverage containers and plastic water bottles – glass bottled Surgiva still mineral water in all guest rooms
- Recycling program in place
- Organic waste diversion program in place with food waste collected and converted off-site into biogas for renewable energy production and compost for agriculture
- ecoSPIRITS distribution systems used in our bars, the world’s first low-carbon, low-waste spirit distribution technology, which eliminates up to 80% of the carbon footprint of supplying spirits
- Delectable offerings of locally and sustainably sourced menu items available
Food waste reduction program in place, including Lumitics technology implemented in our kitchens to help track, measure, control and reduce food waste - Argo’s “Agroforestry” menu raises awareness of the beautiful concept of nature’s self-sustainable ecosystem
- Reduction of carbon emission by seven times through a pioneering food waste recycling program, in which an in-house composting machine is utilized for pre-treatment before further processing. This initiative has been recognized with the ALBA IWS Appreciation Award for E-waste Management & Partnership in 2024.
- Delectable offerings of locally and sustainably sourced menu items available
- Excess food donated to the local community through Foodlink, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger
- Linen, furniture and equipment donated to the local community
- Artists and artisans featured throughout our Hotel, including works from locally and internationally renowned sculptors and painters such as Kassia Ko, whose Chinese ink paintings adorn the floors of our guest rooms
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the local community and support local charitable organizations, including Oxfam, the Hong Chi Association and Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation
- Support for the local textile industry is fostered through collaboration with CHAT (Centre for Heritage Arts and Textile), a textile heritage museum in Hong Kong. Initiatives include organizing tours that explore Hong Kong's rich textile history and promote sustainable practices.
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- The Spa adopts brands that prioritize sustainability, including Butterly Mark Certified Ignae vegan, cruelty-free, and paraben-free products, and Joanna Vargas, Leaping Bunny certified cruelty-free skincare products containing sustainably sourced beeswax
