At Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - Vegan and vegetarian menu items available
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Our Hotel runs on 100% REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin) backed energy
- Two combined heat and power (CHP) plants on-site generate up to 60% of the electricity consumed in our Hotel and Spa and contribute to satisfying our hot water and heating needs
Energy-efficient building systems - Water conservation measures in place
- Elimination of single-use plastic water bottles, plates, cutlery and cups
- Recycling program in place
- All food waste is diverted from landfill and sent to external facilities for biogas and fertilizer production
- Locally sourced menu items available, including fruit from our on-site 220-tree orchard
- Sustainably sourced coffee available
- Humanely raised protein and cage-free eggs from select purveyors available
- Endangered species banned from all menus
- Food waste reduction program in place
- Local biodiversity support program in place, including efforts to “wild” the entire 500-acre estate to help preserve wildlife such as skylarks, owls, deer, badgers, hares, bees and wildflowers
- Bug hotels strategically placed on estate fields to encourage bugs and other insects to live in their natural habitats
- Guests can engage in educational bird-watching experiences with qualified guides and off-site tours at heritage sites, including Stonehenge, Winchester and Salisbury cathedrals, and National Trust and Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) sites
- Linen, furniture and equipment donated to the local community through the British Red Cross and UK Youth
- Local artists and artisans featured throughout our Hotel, including works from Sculpture Park at Farnham and from the Minster Gallery in Winchester
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees actively work with the local community to collect litter, promote positive environmental practices and support charitable initiatives, including the Spa Members Ball and Cancer and Community Run
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- Focus on partnering with sustainable suppliers for hotel purchasing and products
- Suppliers are encouraged to reduce unnecessary packaging
- Spa products are primarily from England-based businesses
