At Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - Bicycles available for guest use on property and for moving around the town
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items available
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Energy-saving guest room controls
- LED lighting used exclusively throughout our Camp
- Water-efficient landscaping, including the use of greywater from on-site wastewater treatment
- Public area lights and air conditioning units are on a timer to reduce wasteful energy consumption
- Elimination of single-use plastic water bottles, bathroom amenities and food and beverage containers
- Weekly no-waste program in employee cafeteria to enhance awareness of food portion control
- Reusable wet bags placed in each tent for guest use to reduce plastic
- Local, sustainable, and seasonal menu items available, including cheese sourced from Chiang Rai
- Responsibly sourced seafood available
- Food waste diverted from landfill and donated to local farms for use as animal feed
- Loose-leaf teas and coffee sourced from local plantations to reduce packaging waste and support local economic development
- All sourced coffee pods available in guest tents are biodegradable
- All private bar offerings bottled in glass to reduce plastic and aluminum use
- Local biodiversity support program in place, including a partnership with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) to rescue and adopt more than 20 elephants from Thailand’s crowded city streets
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community through our Concierge, including discovering local plants with expert guides, boating and fishing along the Ruak River, and hikes to Ban Ja Jor, a Lahu hill-tribe village
- Local artists and artisans featured throughout our Camp, including upholstery, wooden carvings and local musicians during special dining events
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the local community and support charitable initiatives, including funding health care initiatives, schooling and other educational projects
- A portion of proceeds from guest tours are donated to a local orphanage
- Funds are donated to local neighbourhood schools to support programming and student lunches
- Our Camp participates in a village-wide fire prevention program by clearing debris to ensure the reduced risk of fires throughout our forests
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- The Spa features products from Thailand-based creators
- The boutique features local crafts, clothing and hill-tribe products
