- Wellness Cooking Class
Exciting and enticing, our group cooking class invites your guests to learn the flavours, ingredients and techniques of regional dishes before putting on the chef’s hat themselves. Each participant walks away with a Four Seasons Tented Camp apron and a collection of wellness-inspired recipes to share when they get home. THB 4,000 per person for two dishes. 120 minutes. Venue: Camp Garden. Maximum of six guests.
- Northern Hanging Lantern Making
Ornate and handcrafted from paper and bamboo, traditional Northern Thai Lanterns are typically festooned across the villages for festivals. Your group will learn this craft from a local artisan and take home a classic Lanna souvenir of their own. THB 1,500 per person. 60 minutes. Venue: Elephant Camp, Camp Garden or Mai Pai Lounge. Maximum of six guests.
- Krathong Making
Central to the Lanna way of life here in the north, the traditional krathong, a folded-leaf floating lantern, is both a cultural phenomenon as well as a work of art. We’ll take your guests to the source, where they’ll see how these decorative offerings to the river are put together by local village experts, then try their hand at making their own. THB 1,500 per person. 60 minutes. Venue: Elephant Camp, Camp Garden or Mai Pai Lounge. Maximum of six guests.
- Stargazing
After twilight, the night sky is awash with millions of stars. Your group will head over to the Mai Pai Lounge where our astrology expert will help them navigate this display. THB 25,000 per group (maximum of 12). 45–60 minutes. Recommended start time is 8:00 pm.
- Photo Spot Treasure Hunt
The many picture-perfect locales around our Camp are the setting, and the hunt is on. Your guests can join in the fun as our Photo Spot Treasure Hunt takes them on a quest for the most scenic on-site locations. Prizes await the winner as your guests select their favourite from among some of our well-known photo spots, including Burma Bar, the suspension bridge or our rustic Wine Cellar. THB 500 per person. 90 minutes. Venues may vary.
Off-site Activities
- Fishing with Locals
Fishing techniques along the Mekong River are unique to the region, having developed indigenously over centuries. This group activity allows your guests to try fish trapping and bamboo fishing firsthand with the locals from the region. Boating along the Ruak River, which straddles the border between Thailand and Myanmar, offers a unique insight into the local way of life. THB 3,500 per person for two boats. Venue: Mekong and Ruak rivers. 90 minutes. Maximum of six guests (three guests and one guide per boat).
- Wang Lao Trail Hike
This two-hour hike starts with a short ride to Wang Lao. Walk through the village observing the locals’ way of life and discovering northern hill architecture. A brief hike through the jungle, past terraced rice fields and pineapple plantations ends with panoramic views of the Golden Triangle below. Soak in the view before heading back on the trail through a bamboo tunnel, finishing at Sob Ruak. During the trek, our two Camp Guides will point out various wild herbs and forest plants used by the locals as both medicine and food. THB 2,000 per person. 120 minutes. Venue: Wang Lao Trail. Maximum of 15 guests.
- Hill-tribe Weaving Demonstration
Your group will head out with a local guide on a songthaew (traditional open van) to the hill-tribe village of Wang Lao, where they’ll witness tribal women weave vivid local textiles on traditional handlooms. A sling bag made from these fabrics makes for a memorable souvenir of the visit. THB 2,000 per person. 90 minutes. Venue: Wang Lao village. Maximum of eight guests.
- Local Village Visit
In remote northern villages like Baan Tha Kuntong, the way of life remains unhurried, as the villagers have retained their centuries-old culture in various ways. Your guests will visit the village and learn how the locals farm vegetables and ply their handicrafts. A tasting of traditional food completes this immersive group activity. THB 6,500 per person. 240 minutes. Venue: Baan Tha Kuntong village. Maximum of 34 guests (up to three guides depending on group size).

- Bamboo Carving Workshop
- A delicately woven bamboo scroll can be a memento from the stay at our Camp. Your guests will learn to create a traditional scroll with the help of an expert. It will then be embellished with their favourite memory from the trip, perhaps a picture with the elephants or a map of our Camp. - PICNIC CANAPÉ LESSON
- Whether you’re in the mood for sweet or savoury, our picnic canapés are the perfect excuse to put together a feast. Let our pastry chef show your group some insider tricks of how to make delicious morsels for tea time. - Under the shade of a tree, our peninsula platform is the ultimate setting for a jungle picnic with drinks and canapés.
