Your Getaway to Peninsula Papagayo Never Looked This Good

Join us this autumn as we debut a modern reflection of the coastal resort lifestyle with the addition of Virador Beach Club, a barefoot luxury escape; a Wellness Shala to give a home to our expansive well-being offerings; the transformation of Kids For All Seasons; and a renovation to our Arnold Palmer–designed Ocean Course with a focus on sustainability.

A Barefoot Luxury Escape

Virador Beach Club

Virador Beach Club is a retreat away from resort happenings with the effortless barefoot luxury of a Pacific beachside getaway. The outdoor spaces come to life with an oceanside eatery and lounge focused on Eastern Mediterranean flavours, as well as an adults-only infinity-edge pool and private Cabanas.

    Wellness Shala

A sacred space to unlock harmony and align with nature, the Wellness Shala is a bridge between modern wellness practices and ancestral rituals, where you’ll become immersed in experiences that align the body, mind and soul with the rich elements of this land. Inspired by the graceful flow and movements of Guanacaste breezes, the one-of-a-kind architectural space focuses on bio-architecture and a partnership with local artisans to build a sustainable structure that is one with nature. Created exclusively for wellness practices and events, the Wellness Shala will host daily meditation, yoga and sound healing.

      Kids For All Seasons

Unlock the enchantment of the mangroves within our new-and-improved Kids For All Seasons, an imaginative space designed exclusively for children by Greek architect Polyanna Paraskeva of Polyanna & Associates. With a dedicated career focused on creating functional learning spaces for children, Paraskeva brings her expertise to Four Seasons Resort Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica, marking her Latin American debut. Natural materials and bright colours are used to mimic the lush and diverse ecosystems of the mangroves surrounding Peninsula Papagayo, inviting children to play and explore. Moveable, flexible walls create a fluid environment that incorporates technology, art and science.

        Golf Course Renovations

The 18-hole, par-72, Arnold Palmer–designed Ocean Course at Peninsula Papagayo and driving range is known for its diverse wildlife, dramatic elevation changes and panoramic ocean vistas. The course is also an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary that already has sustainability at its forefront. Our full renovation includes a precision irrigation system that will reduce water usage by 20%, create more teeing area, and feature 12 acres of native vegetation with less bunkering to improve playability and make the course more strategic and scenic. Along with the course renovations, our Golf Pro and Tennis Shop will provide a newly designed retail space and lounge area for guests.
