- Vegan and vegetarian menu items available
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Energy partially sourced from renewable or carbon-free sources, including solar-powered lighting and road signs
- Water conservation measures in place, including water recirculation for natural features such as waterfalls, ponds and rice terraces
- Wastewater from our Resort is treated on site and recycled into our natural pond and water features
- Our Resort has been certified in wastewater management practices by local authorities
- Elimination of single-use plastic water bottles
- Organic waste diversion program in place, including the creation of organic fertilizer using plant waste and buffalo excretions
- Food waste diverted from landfill and donated to local farmers for use as animal feed
- Local, sustainable and seasonal menu items available made with ingredients from Chiang Mai, including herbs from our on-site kitchen garden, salt and local cocoa beans used for thematic chocolate-based confectionaries
- Food waste reduction program in place
- Local biodiversity support program in place, including sustainable gardening practices such as the replanting and recultivation of all plants to save them from being discarded when damaged from weather events or other natural phenomena
- On-site horticultural farm
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including a unique rice planting experience on our grounds, Studio Naenna and InClay Studio pottery workshops for guests who can take home their unique individual creations, and exploring hill-tribe villages and temples
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout our Resort, including pottery from InClay Studio showcased at our restaurant, NORTH, and our retail boutique
- Local community support program in place, including the donation of rice cultivated on our property to local charities, and bicycles, dry food, and guest room amenities to the School of Disabled Children and School of Young Children in Mae Rim
- Funding for toilet installations and bicycle donations provided to a local orphanage
- Funding for student scholarships to the Baansankhayorm School and Baan Panghai School through the Heinicke Foundation
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- Our retail boutique in The Spa features primarily features products from Thailand-based creators with handmade works from neighbouring hill-tribes and local craftspeople
