Al-Muizz Street, Bazaar, Ibn Tulun and the Gayer-Anderson Museum

Overview

Spend an afternoon with a private tour guide strolling the streets of Al-Muizz li-Din Allah al-Fatimi. This historic street stretches between two of the gates of Cairo's old city walls, from Bab al-Futuh in the north to Bab Zuwayla in the south, passing along many of the significant and uniquely preserved ancient streets. Follow with a tour inside Ibn Tulun Mosque, the largest mosque in Cairo, known for its spiral minaret, arches and grand courtyard. Situated next to the mosque is the Gayer-Anderson Museum, an art museum that stores a collection of furniture, carpets and other antiquities.
